Rebranding the Organization
Art Direction

I have been dedicated to this organization as a Program Coordinator & Design Strategist since May 2018. When I started, I supported the planning and coordination of the youth arts summer program for grades 3-11 and its activities. It became clear quickly that StART was doing amazing work, but their materials weren't communicating that high-quality and that leadership needed help forming a creative strategy for programmatic growth based on participation and feedback from the community they served.

I’ve led the charge of rebranding and revamping all of our communications materials, annual reports, website, and all other touchpoints. My main focus has been to communicate the high quality of our programming and how it serves our students in order to secure more funding and reinforce our reputation as a cherished cultural institution in the neighborhoods we serve. Along the way I've made their website bilingual to cater to the audience and made sure to include the students, families, and board members along every step of the way. Since joining the team, the organization's funding to grow by leap and bounds. In 2019 we were awarded Times Square billboard space by Morgan Stanley, in 2020 we became part of the only 5% of NYC non-profits of our budget-size to not cancel programs due to the pandemic, and in COVID-19's wake we've launched a new initiative. The StART Design Lab and Studio focuses on our alumni and provides them with additional learning opportunities and life skills, helping them bridge the transition from college to the workforce Classes in the Business of Art, Photography and New Ways of Seeing and Vocal Master Classes that culminated in a virtual Cabaret were among the offerings in the fall.

Strategic Plan
Set Design

Our purpose of strategic planning was to develop a comprehensive view of the current landscape of Statement Arts, define the future state of the organization, and develop a customized and practical roadmap to achieve operational and financial sustainability.

The organization has been going through rapid growth in the past eight years and the needs of its programs continue to be evident. A strategic plan is needed to enable and support growth and deliver the mission of the organization to communities and individuals through visual and performing arts education programs.

The final results of our 5-year strategic plan enables the organization to grow by diversifying funding sources, building program and operational capacity with scalability based on emerging needs, analyzing data and metrics to measure intended impact, and fine-tuning the communications and marketing strategies. I played a heavy hand in developing the final presentation of the plan, researching and designing the Theory of Change, and building tools for implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
